Media lessons from Arian Foster

Arian Foster had to sit out the opening game of the 2011 NFL season recovering from an injury. He was coming off of a very successful 2010 season where he rushed for over 1600 yards.  His backup, Ben Tate, stepped in and performed at a high level rushing for 116 yards and helping the Texans secure a victory over the Indianapolis Colts. After the game Arian Foster was asked in an interview "Ben Tate looked good running the football, but how many yards would you have racked up with holes the offensive line opened up had you been able to play?"  Foster's immediate response, "116."

Foster had an opportunity to boast about his own abilities, but in the process would have made a negative comment towards his teammate, Ben Tate.  Instead Foster gave a great answer and went on in the interview to talk up the skill level and abilities of his teammate.
